First Off, please do NOT apply to guild via forums unless you are already in guild. That application is simply to get you into the forums after you are already a member. Talk to an officer in game for more information about joining Glitterati.
Thank you, The Management
GLITTERATI CHARTER/MISSION STATEMENT
*UPDATED* 04/24/2009
Glitterati is a "casual" raiding guild. This basically means that we love to raid, we enjoy seeing new things and downing new bosses, but as we are a mature guild, we do have lives outside of WoW. We try as much as possible to work around peoples schedules, while still trying to get closer to end game content.
Most of us are in the 25-40+ age bracket, but we do have some younger and older in our midst. We enjoy being able to talk as adults, but we aren't crude, and we appreciate respect, both for ourselves and others. Maturity is a key thing we look for in our guild members, the ability to work as a team, listen to direction, and learn from our mistakes. We don't yell or scream if someone screws up, and we are very helpful in teaching new people who come to instances with us. We also have awesome players, who will be more than happy to help you with gear/spec questions you may have.
*NEW* WOOHOO We are back in 10/25 man raids again, and we are doing great!! We are not recruiting at the moment, we do however have a raiding channel that you can join if you wish to group with us. We have met some great people this way, and we hope that continues in the future. This is where we will do any future recruiting from. For channel information, contact an officer in game. Note: If you are looking for a leveling guild, to gear you up and get you ready for a raiding guild, we are not the guild for you.
What do we expect from you? Thats easy, and this is what will make some people decide not to join us. We expect you to help. We aren't going to run you through instances. You need to be geared for them before you go. Which means, have some blues on, do some heroics, and get some gear/badge rewards. Show us that you want to help yourself, and we will gladly help you. Don't join guild and start nagging to go to raids immediately. That just shows us you are there for the wrong reasons. The majority of us have been friends for a long time in game, and that is first and foremost to this guild. Not getting uber phat loots. Thats just a lovely plus to the equation.
So basically in closing, if you like to have FUN, goof off, giggle, and are a laid back person who still likes to raid, then we are for you. We are mostly eastern/western time zone, so we try to make raids between the times, to make it available for as many people as possible to go. So if after you read this and the rules posted below, and you feel you would be a good fit for Glitterati, contact an officer in game for more information.
RULES:
1. NO BEGGING! This is the surest way to annoy everyone and get you a quick removal from the guild. And begging includes asking 10 times in an hour for different things from guildies.
2. Watch the language. We are an adult guild and while cursing isn't the end of the world, repeated WTFS!, name calling, or just constant cursing will get you a warning, and then a removal. We do have some younger people, who don't act like that, so we don't expect it from adults. And no spamming!
3. Expect constructive criticism. We aren't going to berate you in a raid, or tell you how you suck. But you may get a tell from an officer, if they see you doing something wrong, or a way you can improve yourself. We all had someone help us, so take the help and appreciate someones just trying to help you be your best. Just like if theres a way I can improve myself, I would be more than happy to hear it.
4. If you want to go to a raid, and you sign up, please be there. Real life happens, it sucks, but it happens, we all know and understand this. And you won't be looked down upon if it does. But repeated signing on late without informing an officer that you will be late, will lower your chances greatly of joining in future raids. And, if you don't tell someone you are going to be late, we will fill the slots with alternate sign ups and/or pug the slots. Once the slots are filled, no one will be asked to leave for you, unless its previously arranged with an officer. And realize, if you don't show up repeatedly for a raid, you won't be asked to go to the higher raids. If you can't contact an officer, then just post on the forums, one of us will see it.
5. USE THE FORUMS!
This one is really important. We have tried putting alot of information/signs ups on here, and no one is using them. We are gonna start updating the forums again, so please use them. And SIGN UP! If by the day of the raid we don't have enough sign up, we will try to pug the slots from out of guild. If we cannot pug the slots, we will just cancel the raid. It is unfair to expect officers to make everything happen, when everyone isn't doing their part. Also, we have alot of uber, great, wonderful fun players now! So if you do not get a spot in raids, don't take it personal. If there are enough on that can make a viable side run, please feel free to do so, every raid does not have to be organized by an officer.
6. Just be nice!!
